Dr Sally Clifford
I am a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for working with children, adolescents and adults with mental health challenges, having significant experience with neurodivergent individuals in both clinical and research settings. I work clinically with a range of presentations using evidence-based approaches. I am dedicated to helping people lead fulfilling lives.

I have considerable experience in the diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with neurodivergent presentations, having spent the last 20 years researching and working clinically in the area. My early career involved the design and implementation of Early Intervention programs, behavioural support, and parent and school support services for children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASCs) in rural regions of Western Australia. I undertook a PhD in the early social development of children with ASCs and conducted post-doctoral research on early social communication of children with ASCs at University College London with Professor Tony Charman, developing collaborations with the Autism Research Centre at Cambridge University, and the British Autism Study of Infant Siblings at Birkbeck University of London.

As a mother of three children, I am keenly interested in and enjoy working with families and helping them navigate parenthood. I am a trained parenting practitioner (Triple P provider) and evaluated parenting programs at King’s College London alongside Professor Mark Dadds (see here). I am a qualified Tuning into Teens group facilitator.

I have also worked in the area of conduct and oppositional problems (using Multisystemic Therapy), eating disorders (Hollywood Clinic, Perth), anxiety disorders, depression, emotional issues and bullying. I am a qualified Social Skills group facilitator (Secret Agent Society).
