Session Fees

The current session fee is $300 per session which is below the Australian Psychological Society recommended fee of $311 per 50-minute therapy session. Fees may increase yearly in line with the APS recommendations. Payment is due on the day of consultation (except for the first session for which a deposit is taken at time of booking).

Referrals, Rebates & NDIS

Referrals are not necessary to book an appointment. However, if you wish to obtain a partial Medicare rebate then you will need to obtain a referral from your GP or paediatrician/psychiatrist. Clients with a valid referral under a Mental Health Treatment Plan from their GP are currently able to access Medicare rebates of $141.85 per session for approved forms of psychological therapy. Please visit your Health Professional and ask for a referral letter stating the type of psychological service required, the item number, and the correct number of sessions so that we are able to bill you accordingly. Clients pay the full amount of the consultation fee when booking their session or on the day at the session (cash or debit/ credit card accepted). The claim will then be lodged through Medicare.
Some clients may be able to access rebates through their private health insurer, however please note that you cannot claim rebates through Medicare and private health insurer for the same session. Private Health funds vary widely in the amount of rebate that can be claimed and you should contact your insurer about this.
I am able to see clients who have a Self-Managed NDIS Plan, but please note I am not a registered NDIS provider.

Cancellation Policy
Clients cancelling with 24 to 48 hours notice are charged 50% of the session fee, and with less than 24 hours notice are charged 100% of the session fee. Notice given must be within business days and hours (9am-5pm). Cancellation fees are not eligible for Medicare rebates. If you have frequent cancellations then we will be in touch to discuss your appointment schedule.
